About Newmartin
I love photography in which I can use my technical skills to push my creativity to the edge. Working in a team of creative people, helps me to gain a higher level of photography. After finishing university (teacher training collage) and the Royal Academy of Arts, I started working as a professional photographer. Whilst mostly making documentaries in Latin America, I also worked for UNICEF and other (charity) organizations. Later, as I worked for miscellaneous magazines, newspapers and organizations as a photojournalist, I specialized in journalistic portraits. At the moment my core assignments are in fashion, lifestyle and commercial photography. However, a documentary and photojournalistic background is still visible in my current work. This gives my photography a special ‘edge’. If time permits, I still work on my own documentary projects.
